Yang Chen

Yang Chen is a software development engineer currently at AMD since June 2024, with prior experience as a firmware engineer at Alphawave Semi from February 2022 to June 2024. At Alphawave, Yang provided technical guidance to junior staff, collaborated on hardware and software requirements, developed performance analysis tools, and optimized communication technology performance for Alphawave IP hardware. Prior to that, Yang worked at AMD from July 2017 to February 2022, focusing on developing firmware for the ARM platform and addressing customer issues in AMD display drivers. Yang's career began at AMD as a PEY application engineer from June 2015 to August 2016. Yang holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering Science from the University of Toronto, completed in 2017, with a specialization in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
