Stanley Choy

Stanley Choy has a diverse background, with extensive work experience in finance and leadership roles. Stanley is currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer at Alphina Therapeutics since September 2021.

Prior to their current position, Stanley held the role of Chief Operating and Business Officer at HLK Pharmacin, LLC. starting in 2019. Stanley also served as the Chief Financial and Business Officer at Qx Therapeutics Inc from 2017.

Stanley has experience as a Co-founder and Partner at SHY Therapeutics, LLC. since 2014, where they played an integral role in the company's formation. Stanley also served as the Co-Chairman, Board Member, and Treasurer at BioCT - Connecting CT's Bioscience Community from 2012.

Before joining SHY Therapeutics, Stanley held leadership positions at Kolltan Pharmaceuticals, Inc. as the Vice President of Finance and Treasurer from 2009 to 2014. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Financial Officer at Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge LLP from 2006 to 2009 and as the Financial Controller at Shearman & Sterling LLP from 2003 to 2006.

Stanley began their career at Pfizer Inc as a Finance Director from 1992 to 2003. Stanley also worked as a Tax Consultant at Arthur Andersen & Co. from 1990 to 1992 and as a Senior Auditor from 1988 to 1990. Throughout their career, Stanley has amassed a wealth of experience in finance, leadership, and strategic decision-making.

Stanley Choy pursued their Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting at the State University of New York at Plattsburgh from 1980 to 1984. After gaining foundational knowledge in the field, they went on to further their education at Syracuse University's Martin J. Whitman School of Management. From 1986 to 1988, Stanley completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Finance.
