Domenico Vumbaca

Domenico Vumbaca has a diverse range of work experience. Their most recent role is as a Product Lead - Strategic Projects at Alpian, starting in January 2024. Prior to this, they held positions at Alpian as a Product Owner - Strategic Projects and a Product Owner, where they played a significant role in launching the first completely digital advisory service. Domenico also worked as a Product Advisor, contributing to the advancement of the Alpian app and CRM while also collaborating with a major European financial institution.

Before joining Alpian, Domenico was a City Leader for Nova and a Member of the global talent community. Domenico also worked as a Master Thesis Student Researcher at Osservatori Digital Innovation, where they conducted research on drone startups and their funding. Additionally, they were a Member of Svoltastudenti, a Students' Union, and held various roles within the Entrepreneurship Club Polimi, including Treasurer and Driver for the Human Capital Team.

Domenico also gained experience in the field of logistics and engineering as a Team Leader and Analyst for the PoliMi Sailing Team, where they achieved 2nd place in the Foiling SuMoth Challenge in both 2020 and 2021. Domenico also worked as a Junior Project Manager at BNP Paribas Cardif, where they supported project planning and management.

Furthermore, Domenico served as a Students representative in the Management Engineering Faculty council at Politecnico di Milano, assisting students with various academic and administrative matters. Domenico also participated in the MIP Business Game, winning the BNP challenge, and acted as a Business Developer for the EUvsVirus hackathon.

Domenico Vumbaca has a diverse education history. Domenico obtained a Bachelor's degree in Management and Production Engineering from Politecnico di Milano in 2019. In 2021, they completed a Master of Science - MSc Management Engineering degree from the same institution. During their education, they participated in a student exchange semester at Universidad de Piura, studying at the Facultad de Ciencias Económicas y Empresariales. In 2013, Domenico completed an Advanced Academic Course in Youth International English Programs at the University of Toronto. Prior to that, they received their secondary education at Liceo scientifico Zaleuco, where they obtained a Diploma di istruzione secondaria superiore ad indirizzo scientifico with a scientific focus. Additionally, Domenico has obtained various certifications, including Digital Product Management: Modern Fundamentals from the University of Virginia, Python for Data Science from IBM, Samsung Innovation Camp from Samsung Electronics, Workshop Mnemonica e Comunicazione Efficace from Politecnico di Milano, Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) from Cambridge Assessment English, and Spreadsheets from the ECDL Foundation.
