Aaron Schoening

Aaron Schoening is an experienced mountain and ski guide with a strong background in avalanche education and emergency medical services. Currently serving as a Mountain Guide for Alpine Ascents International and a Ski Guide for both Utah Mountain Adventures and Snowbird, Aaron leads various climbing and skiing expeditions, including trips to Denali and Mt Baker. Additionally, Aaron holds positions as a Course Leader and Instructor at the American Avalanche Institute and the ASMSU Outdoor Recreation Program, focusing on recreational avalanche courses and backcountry skiing instruction. Previous roles include Lead Guide for Northwest Alpine Guides and Emergency Medical Technician with Best Practice Medicine. Aaron earned a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Montana State University-Bozeman and received the International Baccalaureate at South Eugene High School.
