Kristine Tiernan

Clinical Director at Alpine Special Treatment Center

Dr. Tiernan joined Alpine Special Treatment Center, Inc. in 2008. She has over 10 years of mental health experience including expertise in program development through the utilization of multidisciplinary mental health clinicians for supportive, rehabilitative services in a secured setting for people suffering from psychiatric and substance abuse disorders, as well as crisis communication and training for mental health staff.

As Clinical Director, Dr. Tiernan’s responsibilities include management and quality assurance of all clinical (Program and Nursing) services provided by Alpine Special Treatment Center Inc., including the training and supervision of clinical and non-clinical staff.

Before serving as the Clinical Director, Dr. Tiernan worked as the Assistant Administrator for Alpine Special Treatment Center, Inc., as well as Assistant Program Director, Psychology Assistant, Program Consultant, Rehabilitation Counselor, and Clinical Advisor for Alpine Special Treatment Center, Inc.

Dr. Tiernan received a dual bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Criminology from the University of Washington, a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Alliant University, and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Alliant International University. Dr. Tiernan is currently licensed in the State of California as a Licensed Psychologist and currently serves as a certified Crisis Prevention instructor for Alpine Special Treatment Center, Inc.
