Peter-Wim Gerssen

Peter-Wim Gerssen currently serves as CFO at Alpiq since October 2025. Previously, from January 2005 to September 2025, Peter-Wim held various leadership roles at Shell, including Managing Director of Shell Asset Management Company (SAMCo), where accountability included managing a global client pool with €80 billion in assets under management. Peter-Wim's experience extends to positions such as VP Finance Projects & Technology and VP Downstream Credit, focusing on strategic leadership, financial management, and operational efficiency within large, diverse teams. Peter-Wim's educational background includes a Master of Science in Business/Managerial Economics and an Executive Master in Controlling from VU Amsterdam, along with recent completion of a Board and Governance program at Nyenrode Business University. Additionally, Peter-Wim served as Chair of the Audit Committee for GasTerra from February 2019 to September 2025.
