Gilberto S. is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in quality management, environmental health and safety (EHS), and sustainability across South America. Currently serving as the South America Head of Quality, IMS & EHS at ALPLA Group since January 2010, Gilberto oversees quality assurance, regulatory compliance, health, safety, environmental, and sustainability initiatives across four countries, managing a total of 20 factories and one recycling plant. Previous roles include EHS Manager and Regional Auditor at ALPLA, as well as various positions at GOLPACK Embalagens and Sistema INP. Gilberto holds an MBA in Quality Engineering from Escola Politécnica da USP and multiple postgraduate degrees in Safety Engineering, Cosmetology, and Food Technology, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering.
