Matthew Robertson's work experience begins in 1998 at Kmart Australia Limited, where they worked as a Buyer for Toys and later for Books and Magazines. In 2002, they joined David Jones as a Buyer for Toys and Nursery until 2005, when they moved to Sainsburys Supermarkets Ltd to work as a Senior Buyer. Matthew then returned to David Jones as a Buying Manager for Menswear from 2007 to 2009. In 2006, they briefly worked at Big W as a Merchandise Manager. From 2009 to 2017, Robertson held various roles at Woolworths Group, including General Manager of Buying, General Merchandise for BIG W, and International Merchandise Manager for MASTERS / LOWE'S. In 2017, they joined WHSmith Australia as the Group Buying & Marketing Director until 2020. Currently, they are working at Alquemie Group, where they first served as the Chief Operating Officer from January 2021 to May 2022 and is now the Managing Director of Licensed Brands. Through their career, Robertson has demonstrated expertise in buying, marketing, and brand management in the retail industry.
