Carol Hamilton joined ALS Therapy Development Institute in 2005. After a friend’s brother passed away of ALS, she joined first as a volunteer consultant, working on Capitol Hill to increase federal funding. Carol worked closely with Congressional leaders, the Department of Defense, and the Department of Veterans Affairs to secure over $6M in contracts for the Institute. As Senior Director of Development, Carol works with foundations and donors to accelerate the work. Prior to joining ALS Therapy Development Institute, Carol was an executive at Saks Fifth Avenue and ran a small company of her own. Carol studied at Oxford University and graduated from the Georgetown University School of Business.
