Ben Steele

Ben Steele currently serves as the Chief Commercial Officer at Also since January 2025. Previously, from December 2014 to September 2024, Ben was the Executive Vice President and Chief Customer Officer at REI, overseeing a vast array of customer-facing initiatives and leading a team of over 1,000 individuals. Prior roles include serving as the SVP and Chief Creative Officer at REI and as the Executive Creative Director at Hornall Anderson, where significant brands such as Starbucks and PepsiCo were managed. As the founder of a brand strategy consultancy, Ben worked with notable clients including T-Mobile and Lexus. Early career experience includes a trajectory at Copacino + Fujikado, rising from junior copywriter to creative director. Ben holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Puget Sound and completed Executive Education in Finance for Senior Executives at Harvard Business School.
