Franz Patrick Corrales

Franz Patrick Corrales has a diverse work experience, spanning from 2008 to present. In 2008, they worked as an Undergraduate Researcher and Experiment Leader at UC Irvine, where they had in-depth knowledge and skills to execute and analyze experiments involving small and large populations of Drosophila melanogaster. In 2010, they worked as a Lead Tutor at Tutoring Club and a Teaching Assistant at the City of Fremont. From 2013 to 2015, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Toledo and an Assembler at Abaxis Global Diagnostics, Inc. In 2015, they also worked as an Operations employee at Proteus Digital Health, Inc. Since 2016, they have been working as an Associate Scientist and Lab Manager at ALSTEM, INC, where they lead and assists in product development in the field of molecular biology, cell biology, and gene editing. Franz Patrick is responsible for DNA cloning, plasmid construction, and sequence analysis, and provides support in knock-out or knock-in of genes (or introducing point mutation[s]) in genome-scale functional screens using the bacterial CRISPR/Cas9 system. Franz Patrick also performs quality control testing for in-process, release, and stability, provides daily reports and presents data at meetings, and maintains accurate, detailed, well-organized laboratory records and notebooks.

Franz Patrick Corrales attended The University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences from 2013 to 2015, where they studied Biomedical Sciences - Cancer Biology. From 2006 to 2010, they attended UC Irvine, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences and Cognitive Sciences.
