Gangesh Thakur

Gangesh Thakur is an experienced professional with a strong background in ERP and IT transformation, currently serving as the Head of ERP (SAP) Platform at Alstom since June 2016. Gangesh has held various managerial roles, including Global ERP Platform Manager and Global ERP and Support Function Solution Platform Manager, successfully overseeing ERP applications, service integration, and digital transformations across more than 110 sites. Prior to Alstom, Gangesh was involved with Atal Innovation Mission as a Mentor of Change, supporting India's education initiatives, and held key positions at HCL AXON, Accenture, IBM Global Services, and Ernst & Young, focusing on service delivery management and client engagement within the SAP ecosystem. Gangesh holds a Master of Business Management from IIT Kharagpur and additional executive management training from the Indian School of Business, as well as a B.Tech in Mining Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad.
