Shankar Gonthina

Shankar Gonthina is an experienced finance professional with a significant background in corporate financial reporting and business finance. Currently serving as Corporate Controller for Alstom in India, Shankar oversees financial reporting, controlling, and transformation initiatives. Previously, at Vedanta Group, Shankar held positions as Group Finance Controller for IFRS across the UK, US, and Japan, as well as CFO for operations in iron, met coke, and power plants. Additionally, Shankar worked as a financial analyst in the CEO office, focusing on corporate strategy and financial planning. Shankar holds a postgraduate degree in Accounting and Finance from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, completed between July 2003 and November 2009.
