Al Leach

Al Leach has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Al started their career as a Consultant at Andersen Consulting from 1993 to 1995. Al then worked as a Graduate Intern at Cisco Systems in 1996. From 1997 to 2003, they served as a Manager at Accenture. In 2001, Al started their own business, AGL4 Enterprises, where they worked as the Owner until 2004. Al then joined RARE Hospitality International as the Manager of Infrastructure and Information Security from 2004 to 2008. Al's most recent experience is with Alston & Bird, where they held various positions including Information Security Manager from 2008 to 2011, Senior Manager of Information Security and Networking from 2011 to 2016, Assistant Director of IT (Information Security and Networking lead) from 2016 to 2020, and currently serves as the Director of Information Security.

Al Leach holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University at Albany, SUNY, which they obtained from 1988 to 1992. Al further pursued their education at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where they earned a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from 1995 to 1997. In addition to their formal education, Al Leach has obtained various certifications including CISA, CISSP, CRISC, and Certified CISO from reputable institutions such as ISACA and EC-Council.
