John Doherty

John Doherty is the Co-Head of Alston & Bird's Financial Services Litigation Team, where they provide expert advice on financial matters. Prior to this role, they served as a partner at Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP and Thacher Proffitt & Wood LLP, focusing on commercial litigation, particularly in banking and RMBS securitization. John also taught as an adjunct professor at St. Francis College, covering subjects in Business Law, Philosophy of Law, and Introduction to Law. John earned a Juris Doctor from Fordham University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Government and International Relations from the University of Notre Dame.
