Alta International works with charities, SMEs, and international organisations at moments of growth, transition, or increased complexity. We help organisations that have outgrown their current structures, or that have never quite built the right ones, to put in place governance frameworks, operational processes, and policies that actually work in practice.
Most of the organisations we work with are not failing. They are capable, committed, and doing good work. What they often lack is the structure that captures how things work, protects what matters, and keeps things functioning when people move on or circumstances change.
We work closely with leaders and teams to understand how an organisation actually operates before designing anything. That means the frameworks we build are recognised and used by the people inside them, not just filed away.
Our work spans governance design, policy and procedure development, HR frameworks, safeguarding, and organisational structure. We also support implementation: embedding frameworks in practice, training staff, and acting as an external resource on complex people and safeguarding matters.
