Giulia Balicchia

Giulia Balicchia has a wealth of work experience in the language and localization fields. Giulia began their career in 2002 as a Customer Support for the Portobello Food Company. In 2003, they moved to NIFE Limited as an Office Administrator. In 2007, they became an Export Administrator for Drake's. In 2008, Giulia began teaching Italian at Kennesaw State University, a role they held until 2014. In 2013, they began working for ALTA Language Services, Inc. as an Italian test evaluator and test developer. Giulia also started a side business, Speak Eat and Love ITALIA, as an Italian Tutor, Translator, blog creator and writer. In 2017, Giulia took on a role at OneTrust as a Localization Project Manager and Localization Specialist, Italian Translator. In 2022, they joined Welocalize as a Project Manager.

Giulia Balicchia obtained a Master of Arts in International Political Science from Università degli Studi di Urbino Carlo Bo between 1995 and 2000. In 2018, they obtained a Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E) certification from IAPP - International Association of Privacy Professionals. In 2021, they obtained a Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) certification and a Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP) certification, both from IAPP - International Association of Privacy Professionals.
