Liz Ewaskio is an accomplished educator and language professional with extensive experience in teaching and translation. As a Russian Instructor at the University of Utah since January 2011, Liz has designed and taught courses from novice to advanced levels and regularly advises undergraduate students. Liz holds certifications as a PSIA Certified Alpine and Telemark Instructor at Alta Ski Area, where performance excellence was recognized with the 2012 Part-time Instructor of the Year award. In addition to teaching, Liz operates as an independent translator, specializing in various fields, including cooking, literature, natural sciences, and tourism. Previous roles include serving as the NSLI-Y Chaperone for The Russian American Foundation, coordinating services for Russian-speaking seniors at Jewish Family Service of Utah, and teaching English as a Peace Corps Volunteer. Liz earned a Master's degree in Russian from Middlebury College and a Bachelor's degree in Religion, Women's Studies, and Russian from Carleton College.
