Beth Jacobsen

Beth Jacobsen has a diverse and extensive work experience in various leadership roles in the software engineering field.

From 2020 to the present, they have worked as a Software Manager at Altaeros. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Software Engineering at MaxMind from December 2016 to January 2020.

Beth also has experience in the healthcare industry, where they worked at PAREXEL from 2012 to 2016. During their time there, they held the position of Sr. Director, Clinical Applications Development & Technologies, where they led the hiring and training of an engineering team in Hyderabad, India, and was responsible for the development and deployment of software and tools for the organization. Beth also mentored cross-functional teams and provided coaching on working across different cultures.

Before joining PAREXEL, Beth worked as the Engineering VP at SDL Language Technologies from 2009 to 2012, where they held a leadership role in the engineering department.

Earlier in their career, Beth held engineering director positions at SeaChange International from 2007 to 2009, where they oversaw the development of the company's Video On Demand Backend Office Automation Suite, and at Sonus Networks from 2001 to 2007, where they managed the development of the Sonus GSX VoIP switch product family and aligned development teams across multiple sites.

Beth's work experience also includes an engineering director role at Shiva Corporation from 1996 to 2001, where they were responsible for project execution, staffing, and budgeting for the company's Remote Access Business Solution. Beth successfully integrated the engineering team with Intel Networking Business Unit during the company's acquisition by Intel.

Beth Jacobsen holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer and Information Sciences, General from Syracuse University. In addition, they have obtained the certifications of Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) from Scrum.org in December 2018 and Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) from Scrum Alliance in September 2016.
