John Umina

John U. has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. John began their career as a Mechanical Design Engineer at Panametrics, Inc in 1999, where they worked until 2003. Following that, they joined General Electric as a Mechanical Engineer and later moved up to the role of Senior Mechanical Engineer at Artisan Industries in 2007. In 2012, they returned to General Electric as a Principal Mechanical Engineer, a position they held until 2016. John then joined Three Labs, LLC as a Systems Engineer in 2008. John recently worked at Altaeros, where they held multiple roles, including Principal Mechanical Engineer from 2016 to 2021, Principal Systems Engineer from 2021 to 2022, and currently serves as the VP Engineering - Hardware Systems.

John U. completed their education with a high school diploma from Waltham High School in 1996. John then pursued higher education at Tufts University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from 1996 to 2000. John U. continued their studies at Tufts University and earned a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from 2000 to 2002.
