Luis Jaimes-Illanes has extensive work experience in the telecommunications industry, with a focus on wireless network engineering and optimization.

Luis worked as a Senior Network Engineer II at Altaeros, where they designed and built wireless networks and systems for unmanned aerial and lighter-than-air vehicles. Luis led the conceptualization and design of wireless payload systems, recommended mitigation plans, and proposed solutions to challenges and risks.

Prior to that, they were a Senior Network Engineer at Altaeros, where they proposed and developed payload systems for an autonomous airborne platform called the SuperTower. Luis also provided business development support and conducted market research.

Before joining Altaeros, Luis worked as a Telecommunications Research Fellow, where they designed airborne-based wireless systems and improved the accuracy of coverage prediction tools.
