Evan Kristensen

Evan Kristensen has a diverse work experience in the energy industry, primarily with AltaGas Ltd. Evan started their career in 2003 as a Project Engineer, managing projects and providing operational support for gas processing facilities. From 2006 to 2008, they served as an Operations Engineer, focusing on compressor performance, troubleshooting, and optimizing production in the Central Alberta region.

In 2009, Evan transitioned into a Senior Commercial Engineer role, where they were responsible for commercial aspects and project management in the gas division. Evan then moved into various management positions within the company, including Operations Manager South, Manager Operations in the Northwest and Central regions, and Director of Operations for FG&P and Transmission.

In 2016, Evan became a Senior Director of Commercial Asset Management, overseeing the effective business management of AltaGas Gas Division facilities and leading the Midstream Facilities Engineering team. Evan later took on the role of Senior Director of Midstream Integration, where they supported the integration of Petrogas into AltaGas and spearheaded the development of the AltaGas Unified Operations Center.

Most recently, Evan has served as the Senior Director of Operational Planning & Strategy, providing critical support to the Midstream Operations and Transportation teams. Their responsibilities included integrating logistics, negotiating long-term rail transportation agreements, and providing operational coordination at the RIPET facility.

Throughout their career, Evan has demonstrated expertise in project management, operational support, commercial asset management, and business integration.

Evan Kristensen completed a Bachelor of Sciences in Engineering from the University of Calgary between 1997 and 2003.
