Women’s Health Grant Program Supervisor at AltaMed

Judith Puente, CHES, has a diverse work experience in the field of health promotion and education. Judith has been working at AltaMed Health Services since 2019, starting as a Health Educator I and progressing to the roles of Women Health Promotion Specialist I and Women's Health Promotion Specialist II. Judith'sresponsibilities in these positions involve promoting women's health and providing education in the field.

Prior to their work at AltaMed Health Services, Judith worked as a Health Services Coordinator at Crystal Stairs, Inc. for a brief period from July 2019 to November 2019.

Before entering the healthcare field, they worked at In-N-Out Burger for a substantial period of twelve years, starting as a Level 7 employee in March 2007.

Additionally, Judith gained valuable experience as a Health Promotion and Education Intern- Peer Health Educator at California State University-Los Angeles from August 2017 to May 2019. During this time, they also served as an Ambassador, assisting students with the application process and acting as a liaison between the university and transfer advisors.

Judith Puente, CHES has a Bachelor's Degree in Public Health from California State University, Los Angeles, which they obtained between 2017 and 2019. Prior to that, they completed an Associate's degree in Natural Sciences at Pasadena City College, which they completed in 2017. Currently, they are pursuing a Master's degree in Public Health at California State University, Los Angeles, which they expect to complete in 2023.

In addition to their degrees, Judith Puente has obtained several certifications. Judith became a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) through the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc in April 2019. Judith received the certification of Certified Family Planning Health Worker from Essential Access Health in October 2020. Furthermore, they completed training programs and received certifications in various fields, including Making Proud Choices (obtained from ETR in November 2022), Teen Talk High School (obtained from Health Connected in November 2022), Basic Life Support (obtained from the American Heart Association in August 2022), and Postive Prevention Plus (obtained from Cardea Training in December 2020).
