Angel Hernandez has extensive work experience in project management and healthcare operations.

Angel currently works at AltaMed Health Services as the Growth & Expansion Manager, where they are responsible for managing projects related to the organization's growth and expansion. Angel has led a multidisciplinary team through the site readiness review process and surveys for a replacement center in Norwalk. Angel has also led the applications for new PACE Centers in Anaheim and Santa Ana, CA, for which they managed the DHCS and CMS applications. Additionally, Angel has overseen new clinic start-ups, relocations, and major renovation projects with multi-million dollar budgets.

Prior to their current role, Angel worked as a Project Manager and Project Coordinator at AltaMed. In these positions, they managed various projects, including new clinic start-ups, relocations, and renovations of medical and dental clinics. Angel was responsible for synchronizing all operations involved in these projects and developing and maintaining project plans, calendars, and dashboards. Angel also created the annual budgets for new clinic and pharmacy start-ups and acquisitions.

Before joining AltaMed, Angel worked at the University of Southern California as a Library Supervisor and Integrated Document Delivery Student Assistant. Angel was responsible for supervising the library and managing document delivery services.

Angel also has experience as a Tutor at the Brain Power Institute, where they provided tutoring services.

Angel Hernandez, MHA, PMP, completed their Master's degree in Health Administration at the University of Southern California from 2009 to 2013. Before that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biological Sciences from the same university, studying from 2004 to 2007.

In addition to their educational qualifications, Angel Hernandez has obtained several certifications. Angel earned the Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification from the Project Management Institute in October 2021. Furthermore, they became a Prosci® Certified Change Practitioner in January 2018, certified by Prosci.
