Sheilah Buenaventura has over 30 years of work experience in the healthcare industry. Sheilah began their career as a Staff Physical Therapist at Texoma Medical Center from 1992 to 1994. Sheilah then worked as a Senior Physical Therapist at Rio Hondo Hospital from 1994 to 1996. Sheilah gained experience as a Traveling Physical Therapist at Therapist Unlimited from 1996 to 1997. Sheilah furthered their career at Montessori de Manila as a Class Directress Level II from 1999 to 2001, where they worked with pre-school children. Sheilah then joined White Memorial Medical Center as a Lead Physical Therapist from 2001 to 2022.

Since 2003, Sheilah has been employed at AltaMed Health Services, where they have held various leadership roles. Sheilah first served as the Director of Rehabilitation from 2003 to 2017, where they provided recommendations and guidance in the rehabilitation department and implemented quality systems. Sheilah also presented at national conferences and conducted training to improve performance. From 2017 to 2021, they held the position of Director, Clinical Programs, responsible for overseeing the PACE functional managers and clinical program staff, ensuring high standards of care and implementing efficient systems. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Director, Clinical Programs, where they continue to provide leadership and direction to ensure quality outcomes across all PACE sites.

Sheilah obtained their Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy/Therapist from De La Salle Health Sciences Institute, graduating in 1991. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Mathematics and Computer Science at De La Salle University in 1987.
