Sheilah Buenaventura

Senior Director, Clinical Programs at AltaMed

Sheilah Buenaventura has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Sheilah started their professional journey in 1999 as a Class Directress Level II at Montessori de Manila, where they were responsible for overseeing the education and development of preschool children. Sheilah completed Montessori training under the supervision of Mrs. Marie Zamora.

In 2001, Sheilah joined White Memorial Medical Center as a Staff Physical Therapist III. Sheilah'srole involved providing physical therapy services to patients.

Sheilah then transitioned to AltaMed Health Services in 2003, where they held various leadership positions. Sheilah first served as the Director of Rehabilitation, overseeing the rehabilitation services. From 2017 to 2021, they assumed the role of Director, Clinical Programs, responsible for ensuring the highest standards in functional, technical, and clinical skills across all PACE sites. Sheilah developed and implemented quality and cost-effective systems and protocols for participant care. Sheilah also supported the administrative leadership team in recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of clinical leaders and other staff.

Currently, Sheilah Buenaventura is working as the Senior Director, Clinical Programs at AltaMed Health Services, continuing their contributions to the organization's clinical programs.

Overall, Sheilah has demonstrated extensive experience and expertise in clinical program leadership and rehabilitation services throughout their career.

Sheilah Buenaventura obtained a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Western University of Health Sciences from 2012 to 2014, specializing in the field of Physical Therapy/Therapist. In 2017 to 2018, they pursued further education at the University of Montana and obtained a Rehabilitation Administration Certificate. Additionally, they hold a certification as a Certified Exercise Expert for Aging Adults (CEEAA®) from the Academy of Geriatric Physical Therapy.
