Andres Duarte Otero

Andres Duarte Otero is an experienced trading professional with a strong background in non-ferrous raw materials, base and precious metals, and commodity derivatives. Currently serving as Head of Trading at Altamira Trade AG since July 2018, Andres also holds a position on the Board of Directors at Ocean Solutions LLC, which specializes in financially settled commodity derivatives. Prior experience includes roles as Trader at Bluequest Resources AG and Trader/Country Manager at Luzar Trading, where Andres initiated the Bolivian office. Additional experience encompasses Junior Trader and Trainee positions focused on copper cathode and grains & oilseeds, respectively. Andres began their career as a Summer Analyst in Mergers & Acquisitions at GBS Finanzas and as a Trader Assistant at SUCDEN Groupe Sucres & Denrées. Academically, Andres holds a BA in Economics from Northwestern University and participated in an academic exchange program at The London School of Economics and Political Science.
