Filipe Castro Matos

Filipe Castro Matos is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in entrepreneurship, marketing, and mentorship. Currently serving as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Altar.io since January 2024, Filipe previously held the role of Startup Mentor at Startup Lisboa and was Head of Brand at ComparaJá.pt, a company focused on simplifying financial decision-making for young adults. From July 2021 to November 2022, Filipe was the Head of Growth at Maven, a proactive pet care service. Earlier career highlights include leadership positions in marketing at Bond Touch and Impossible, as well as roles in demand generation at Prodsmart and participation in the 500 Startups Batch 22 Acceleration Program. Filipe also co-founded WIME - Your Private Sommelier and managed partnerships and mentoring programs at Startup Lisboa. Filipe holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from FEP U. Porto and has studied at Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca and IES powered by INSEAD.
