Eric Benson has a long and varied work experience. Eric began their career in 2001 as a Project Manager at Market Insights, Inc. In 2006, they moved to Dresner Partners as an Investment Banker in the Healthcare sector, where they facilitated buy- and sell-side M&A, licensing and LBO transactions of middle-market companies. In 2008, they joined Lucic Partners, LLC as a Financial & Corporate Development professional, where they optimized corporate financials and time-lined milestone "asks". In 2013, they began teaching at Northwestern University's Masters in Biotechnology Program, as a Professor of Healthcare Product Commercialization. That same year, they also became a Financial & Product Planning professional at Lucic Partners, LLC. In 2015, they began mentoring at Chicago Innovation Mentors. In 2019, they became Corporate Development and Financial Planning & Analysis professional at AltaThera Pharmaceuticals. In 2020, they moved to Rhaeos in the same role. Finally, in 2016, they became the CEO of Avivo BioOptics, leading the Company's financing, operating and development processes to revolutionizing cancer screening with the development of its InPoint™ System.

Eric Benson received their MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business in 2005, where they studied Finance, Accounting, Economics and Entrepreneurship. Prior to that, they completed their BE in Biomedical Engineering from Vanderbilt University in 1999.
