Buu Truong

Buu Truong is an accomplished actuary and executive with extensive experience in the insurance industry. Currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Insurance Officer at Altelium since April 2022, Buu has also held the role of Managing Director and Owner at Insight Risk Consulting since May 2012. Prior positions include Group Chief Actuary at Omega Insurance Holdings, where responsibility encompassed actuarial support in reserving, capital modeling, pricing, and business planning, and ACE UK Pricing Actuary at ACE European Group, focusing on pricing and business planning for the London-based entity. Buu’s early career at PricewaterhouseCoopers as a Senior Actuarial Consultant established a strong foundation, leading to qualification as a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries in 2004. Buu also contributed to the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries as a Risk Management Board member and Chairman of the Risk and Thought Leadership Committee from July 2017 to June 2019.
