Chetan Sonawane is a Senior Design Engineer with extensive experience in mechanical engineering, currently employed at ALTEN Sweden since September 2022. Prior to this role, Chetan worked at Semcon from June 2019 to August 2022, focusing on the packaging of brake system components and designing sheet metal brackets for pipes and hoses, while also serving as a consultant for Volvo GTT. From September 2017 to June 2019, Chetan was involved in the design and development of IC engine components for trucks at VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd., with experience on MDE5 and MDE8 Volvo Medium Duty Engines. Chetan began the career as a Graduate Engineering Trainee at Advik Hi-Tech Pvt Ltd in India, contributing to the development of oil pumps and reed valves. Chetan holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from North Maharashtra University and a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Government Polytechnic College.
