George Whyte

George Whyte is an experienced offshore operations manager currently serving as the OIM for Altera Infrastructure since February 2023. Previously, from January 2020 to April 2023, George held the role of 5th Week Production Supervisor and 5th Week OIM at TEEKAY PETROJARL UK LIMITED, where responsibilities included managing offshore operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and facilitating team training. Between October 2014 and April 2023, George worked as a Project Manager and Production Supervisor at Teekay Petrojarl, leading the development and training of offshore personnel on a new ePTW system. Prior experience includes coordinating operations as Operations Co-ordinator/Deputy OIM at Petrofac from August 2005 to September 2014. George holds a City and Guilds qualification in Electrical Installation from North East Scotland College, obtained between 1982 and 1985.
