Kai Henning Svanes

Kai Henning Svanes is an accomplished maritime professional with extensive experience in engineering and vessel management. Currently serving as Chief Engineer and Maintenance Supervisor at Altera Infrastructure since January 2020, Kai manages operations on the FPSO Cidade de Itajai offshore Brasil. Previous roles include Vessel Manager for North Sea shuttle tankers at both Altera Infrastructure and Teekay, as well as significant engineering positions at Bluewater Energy Services, where leadership in maintenance and project management was highlighted on multiple FPSOs. Kai's career initiated in the Royal Norwegian Navy, followed by diverse engineering roles across various ships and oil fields, showcasing a robust background in technical management and maintenance in the maritime industry.
