Brett Barthelmess

Brett Barthelmess has over 35 years of experience in HR and benefits consulting. Brett currently serves as the Vice President at Alterity Group. Prior to this, they worked at Hager Strategic as a Senior Consultant, where they managed administrative strategy projects, guided clients through Request for Proposal (RFP) projects, and supported them during the transition to new benefits service providers and technologies. Brett also worked at Wellspring Resources as a Functional Consultant, leading Benefits Administration Outsourcing projects and managing system modifications and annual enrollment processes. Earlier in their career, Brett was a Consultant at Willis Towers Watson (then Watson Wyatt Worldwide), where they focused on designing information systems for Benefits Administration and Human Resource projects and played a lead role in PC-based modeling tools development and Human Resource re-engineering projects.

Brett Barthelmess holds multiple degrees in different fields of study. Brett earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mining Engineering from West Virginia University, completing their undergraduate education from 1980 to 1984. Subsequently, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from the same university, completing the program from 1984 to 1986. Later on, they attended Virginia Tech and obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Systems Engineering, completing their studies from 1988 to 1991.
