Alternatives For Girls
Dr. Celia Thomas has worked as the Chief Operating Officer at Alternatives For Girls since 2016. Prior to this, they served as a Volunteer Peer Reviewer at the Council on Accreditation from 2010 to 2016. Dr. Celia also held various roles at MATRIX HUMAN SERVICES from 2004 to 2016.
Dr. Celia Thomas completed their Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the University of Michigan-Dearborn from 1986 to 1990. Dr. Celia pursued further education at Central Michigan University, where they obtained their Master's degree in Public Administration from 2006 to 2008. Dr. Thomas then continued their academic journey at Central Michigan University and earned their Doctor of Health Administration (DHA) degree in Health Administration from 2011 to 2021.

Alternatives For Girls helps girls and young women experiencing homelessness and other risks to avoid violence, early pregnancy, and exploitation; and helps them to explore and access the support, resources, and opportunities necessary to be safe, to grow strong, and to make positive choices for their lives.
