Monica George

Monica George is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in development and operations within the nonprofit sector. Currently serving as Development Director at Alternatives since January 2020, Monica has held previous positions including Manager of Corporate and Foundation Relations at Cabrini Green Legal Aid and Chicago Program Officer at Asset Funders Network. Additional roles include Development Consultant at Chicago United for Equity and Civic Engagement Coordinator at The Chicago Community Trust. Monica's career began as Director of Operations at Circesteem, Chicago Youth Circus. Monica holds a Bachelor of Arts in French and a minor in Gender, Sexuality, and Feminist Studies from Oberlin College, as well as a Bachelor of Music in Composition from Oberlin Conservatory, both earned between 2008 and 2013.
