Darren Sakowsky is an experienced machinist and team lead with a diverse background in the machining industry. Currently serving as Team Lead Machinist at Altex Industries Inc. since February 2017, Darren has also been a machinist with Local 1460 since June 2014. Prior to these roles, Darren owned DARCAT Machine Works Inc. from February 2007 to September 2017 and held positions such as Field Supervisor at Edmonton Exchanger and Team Industrial Services. Earlier career experiences include working as a field tech at REPPSCO SERVICES LTD. and as a machinist at Wild Rows Pump & Compression. Darren's career began as an apprentice machinist at A-Plus Machining and Welding, where skills were developed to achieve Red Seal Journeyman certification. Education was pursued at NAIT between 1998 and 2001.

We are experienced with most metallurgies - carbon steel, stainless & duplex, chrome-moly including 1-1/4 and 2-1/4, high-nickel alloys like 625, 825, C276, and weld-overlays.
