Andrea Piras

Andrea Piras is an experienced Information Technology professional with a career spanning over three decades. Currently serving as the Information Technology Infrastructure & Security Manager at Althea since June 2019, Andrea is responsible for defining and managing IT procedures and ensuring system reliability and security. Prior to this role, Andrea was the IT Manager at Piemme S.p.A. for over eleven years, overseeing the IT Department for a leading advertising space seller in Italy. Andrea has also held various positions at Unilever Italia, including Service Manager and Project Manager, where responsibilities included managing IT support activities, overseeing datacenter operations, and leading infrastructure projects across multiple European countries. Earlier experiences include roles as a System Engineer, Analyst Programmer, and Programmer, complemented by formal education from Sapienza Università di Roma and ITIS Enrico Fermi, along with a Sommelier degree from Associazione Italiana Sommelier.
