Torger Kjeldstad

Torger Kjeldstad has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and industries.

Torger currently holds the position of CTO - Teknologidirektør at Altibox, starting in April 2023.

Prior to that, they worked at SpareBank 1 Utvikling from 2019 to 2023. During their time there, they served as the Head of Alliance and Enterprise Solutions, overseeing IT services for core banking systems and managing a team of 100+ experts. Torger also held the position of Head of Third Party Services, where they were responsible for managing IT services for over 60 companies and 8000 employees within the Sparebank 1 Alliance.

Before joining SpareBank 1 Utvikling, Torger was the Chairman of the Board, CTO, and Co-founder of Carrycut AS from 2016 to 2019. Here, they launched a freight buying and selling platform with the support of Innovation Norway and the Norwegian Research Council.

Their work experience also includes a role as Head of Development at Dagens Næringsliv, the third largest newspaper and top business journal in Norway. Torger managed the development of all digital solutions and led a G2M project, transforming work processes and commercial systems.

Prior to that, Torger worked at Telenor Norge AS for several years, holding various roles such as Head of CRM Systems & Information Architecture, Head of Self Service Systems and Services, Apps & Service Manager, Product Manager Mobile Broadband, Business Manager Fixed Broadband, and Value Chain Manager Fixed Broadband. Torger received recognition as the top employee of the year in Telenor Norway in 2006 for their achievements in reducing value chain faults and delivering cost-saving projects.

Torger's earlier work experience includes serving as a Technical Officer at EVRY ASA, where they focused on IT management and services, and as a Sales Manager at Eniro.

Overall, Torger Kjeldstad has extensive experience in technology management, development, and leadership roles across multiple industries and companies.

Torger Kjeldstad's education history begins in 1993 when they started studying Media Science at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). Torger completed their Bachelor's degree in Media Science in 1996. In 1997, they pursued further education in Computer Science and obtained a Bachelor's degree from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin in 1998.

In 2001, Torger Kjeldstad attended the University of Bergen (UiB), where they pursued a Master of Science (MS) in Information Technology. Torger completed this degree in 2003. During the same year, they also obtained certifications in ITIL Foundation from itSMF UK and Citrix Certified Professional from Citrix.

Continuing their education, Torger Kjeldstad enrolled in an executive education certificate program in Project Management at SKEMA Business School in 2019. Additionally, they participated in the Telenor Grow Leadership Program offered by Stockholm School of Economics in 2010, enhancing their leadership skills.

In terms of business education, Torger Kjeldstad attended BI Norwegian Business School in 2005 to 2006 as part of their Master of Management degree, focusing on Business/Managerial Economics. Similarly, in 2004 to 2005, they studied Personnel Management as part of the Master of Management program at Western Norway University of Applied Sciences.

In 2021, Torger Kjeldstad enrolled in a program at the University of Cambridge, focusing on Circular Economy and Sustainability Strategies. Torger also pursued further education in Change Management, obtaining a Master's degree from NMBU - Norwegian University of Life Sciences in 2022.

Furthermore, Torger Kjeldstad has obtained various certifications to enhance their professional skills. Torger completed the ITIL Service Support certification from itSMF UK in 2003 and the MCP Networking Essentials certification from Microsoft in 2001. In 2009 and 2010, they completed the Telenor Core Leadership Program and the Telenor Grow Leadership Program, respectively, offered by Stockholm School of Economics. Lastly, they obtained a Grunnprinsipper for IKT Sikkerhet certification from Nasjonal Sikkerhetsmyndighet in 2022.
