Massimo Ruffolo

Massimo Ruffolo is the CEO and founder of ALTILIA. Massimo has over fifteen years of experience in the field of research and development, with a focus on semantic technologies, natural language processing, text analytics, and information extraction.

Ruffolo began their career as a researcher at CNR, where they worked on projects in the fields of knowledge management and business intelligence. Massimo then joined FourthCodex Inc. as a customer acquisition specialist, scientist, and platform architect. While at FourthCodex, they led projects aimed at implementing software products and solutions in the fields of semantic technologies, information extraction, transportation & logistics, knowledge management, business intelligence and analytics.

In August 2002, Ruffolo founded Exeura S.r.l., where they served as the research project manager. In this role, they led research and development projects in the fields of semantic technologies and knowledge management, natural language processing, text analytics, and information extraction. Massimo also organized and led customer meetings, product demos, functional analysis meetings, etc. As the company's technical director, they led projects aimed at implementing software products and solutions in the fields of semantic technologies, information extraction, transportation & logistics, knowledge management, business intelligence and analytics. Such projects were aimed at implementing solutions and software products for customers in health care, financial services, logistics, IT industries.

Massimo Ruffolo has a PhD in Computer and Systems Science Engineering from the University of Calabria. Massimo also has a Master in Business Management and Administration from the University of Rome "Tor Vergata", and a Managerial Engineering degree from the University of Calabria.
