Jarek Wawro

Jarek Wawro is currently the Head of Engineering & Poland Technology Center at Altimetrik. Jarek has been in this role since March of 2020. Prior to that, they were the Director / CoE Site Leader at GE Digital from September 2016 to March 2020. In that role, they led a portfolio of over a dozen projects and managed an agile organization of multiple engineering teams (250+ people total) with roles such as project managers, business analysts, architects, software engineers, quality assurance engineers, etc. Jarek also drove innovation (CRM , HC, ML).

Some of their notable accomplishments include partnering with executives to deliver innovation and DevOps transformation in services space, coaching multiple Agile Teams around the globe, driving portfolio, delivery and product roadmap for GE Healthcare for PnLs across all regions (APAC, EMEA, EAGM, USCAN) – Capex and Opex, building Centre of Excellence organization taking over all CRM projects, global SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) owner: responsible for proper Scaled Agile Framework implementation and execution, championing API unification architecture and governance across GE HC, and driven digital transformation and change to devops (cost cutting and cultural change).

Prior to their role at GE Digital, Jarek was an IT Leader consultant at ABB from October 2012 to August 2013.

Jarek Wawro is an engineer who studied at the Politechnics school in Kielcach. Jarek has certification from the Scrum Alliance in Certified Scrum Master and from PMI in PMP.

Jarek Wawro reports to Ignacio R. Segovia, Chief Architect, Head of Product Engineering. Jarek Wawro works with Omar Arana - Head of Engineering & Mexico Technology Center, Manuel Vidal - Head of Uruguay Technology Center, and Ranga Kanapathy - Head of Engineering & India Technology Center.
