Aklilu Meshesha

Aklilu Meshesha, CPA, MBA has extensive experience in financial reporting and analysis. Aklilu is currently serving as the Director of Financial Reporting at Altimmune, Inc. since June 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Sr. Financial Reporting Accountant at Aytu BioPharma from March 2021 to June 2022 and at Neos Therapeutics, Inc. from April 2019 to March 2021. Aklilu also held the position of Manager Financial Reporting Analysis at Williams Industrial Services Group, LLC from January 2016 to April 2019, where they started as a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst in January 2016 and continued till November 2018. Before that, they worked as a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst at Global Power Equipment Group from January 2016 to November 2018. Aklilu's career began at RR Donnelley in April 2011, where they served as a Sr XBRL reviewer until January 2016.

Aklilu Meshesha earned a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Addis Ababa University from 1995 to 1998. Aklilu then obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Finance from LSU Shreveport from 2019 to 2021. In May 2019, Aklilu also became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certified by the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy.
