Karen Krukowski is a highly accomplished scientist with extensive experience in academia and research. Currently serving as a Principal Scientist at Altos Labs since June 2022 and as an Assistant Professor at the University of Denver since January 2021, Karen has previously held the role of Postdoctoral Fellow at Rosi Laboratory UCSF and MD Anderson Cancer Center, where significant contributions were made in understanding chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy. Karen's doctoral research at Loyola University Chicago focused on the impact of psychosocial and physiological distress on immune function in breast cancer patients, resulting in multiple publications and enhanced team collaboration. Additionally, Karen has experience as a guest lecturer and medical student lecturer in immunology. Karen earned a Ph.D. in Microbiology and Immunology from Loyola University Chicago in 2012 and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Microbiology from Miami University.
