Calvin Fries has worked in various roles across multiple industries. From 2009 to 2010, they worked as an Administrative/Clinical Assistant at U.P. Home Health & Hospice. During this time, they organized and marketed free public clinics and audited various employees, forms, and client files. From 2010 to 2013, they worked as a Research Assistant at Northern Michigan University, where they preformed various experimental procedures and created and tested various staining protocols. From 2013 to 2017, they worked at Genentech as a Quality Assurance Inspector. During this time, they developed and reviewed process improvements, documentation revisions, and safety suggestions. Calvin also participated in external audits from the FDA and Health Canada. From 2017 to 2022, they worked at Adaptive Biotechnologies Corp. in various roles. These roles included Process Improvement Engineer, Sr. Compliance Specialist, Compliance Specialist, and Study Management Specialist III. During this time, they led a primary team of 25 people on a multimillion dollar capital build out, led a team of 10 through a sample receipt Kaizen, developed baseline metrics for the operations department, and led an off-site sample storage initiative. Calvin is currently working as a Lab Manager at AltPep.
