Brian Selph has extensive experience in the financial industry, starting their career at East Texas Professional Credit Union in 2001. Brian held various roles at the credit union, including Teller, Runner, Vault Teller/FSR, Collections Coordinator, AVP/Branch Manager/Loan Officer, and AVP/Collection Manager. During their tenure, they supervised and managed employees, handled consumer lending and new accounts, implemented new products and services, conducted branch reporting, and performed strategic planning and budgeting. In 2016, they joined Altra Federal Credit Union as the Retail Market Manager for the Tyler market, overseeing retail operations and business development. Brian later advanced to the role of AVP Retail Operations, responsible for managing retail operations in multiple markets. In 2021, they were promoted to Retail Market President and now manages the retail operations for the New Jersey, Colorado, Tennessee, and Texas markets. Brian Selph holds the CUDE (Credit Union Development Educator) and SCMS (Senior Credit Union Management Specialist) designations.
Brian Selph has a strong educational background in credit union management and business administration. In 2002, they attended Kilgore College where they obtained an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Business Administration, Management, and Operations in 2005. In 2010, they furthered their education at the Texas Christian University - M.J. Neeley School of Business, earning a Southwest CUNA Management School degree with a focus on Credit Union Management.
Moreover, Brian Selph recently completed the Credit Union Development Educator (CUDE) program offered by the National Credit Union Foundation in November 2019. This certification further enhances their expertise and knowledge in credit union development.
