Joshua Hamit

Joshua Hamit has over 20 years of work experience in various roles within the information technology field. Joshua is currently serving as the Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Altra Federal Credit Union since 2016. Prior to this, they held the role of Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Altra Federal Credit Union for six years. Before joining Altra Federal Credit Union, Joshua worked at Kaplan as the VP of Information Security and Compliance from 2013 to 2016. Joshua also held various positions at Kaplan Professional from 2005 to 2013, including VP of Infrastructure, Security, and Support. Joshua started their career at Gundersen Health System in 2002 as an IS Support Specialist.

Joshua Hamit has a bachelor's degree in Information Technology from Kaplan University, which they obtained in 2016. Prior to that, they earned an associate degree in Applied Science with a focus on CIS Network Specialist from Western Technical College in 2006. In 2021, they participated in the CUES Strategic Innovation Institute program at Stanford University Graduate School of Business to further their executive education. Joshua also attended the Management and Leadership Institute at NAFCU in 2019, where they studied Credit Union Management. Joshua has obtained various certifications throughout their career, including Certified Innovation Executive (CIE) from CUES in August 2021, Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) from ISACA in February 2020, Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) from (ISC)² in January 2018, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² in February 2014, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) from Microsoft in July 2006, and Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) from Microsoft in July 2006.
