Richard McHugh

Richard McHugh currently serves as the Nuclear New Build Training Lead at Altrad UK, Ireland & Nordics since June 2019, where responsibilities include leading training initiatives in the nuclear sector. Prior roles include extensive expertise in asbestos management, working as an Asbestos Supervisor, Coordinator, and Surveyor across various companies such as ALTRAD and Cape plc. Richard has contributed to the development of mental health support through the establishment of "In Sam’s Name," a charity focused on male mental health. Richard's educational background includes qualifications in asbestos management and safety, alongside a solid foundation in general education from Valley Comprehensive School.
