Michele (Nakata) Kauinui, MHRM, SPHR, SHRM-CP

Michele (Nakata) Kauinui has a diverse work experience in the field of Human Resources. Michele started their career in 2000 as a Human Resources Coordinator at Hilton Hawaiian Village, where they worked until 2004. From there, they joined Halekulani as an Assistant Director of Human Resources, serving from 2004 to 2006. Michele then moved on to ALTRES, where they held various roles. Michele began as a Human Resource Specialist in 2006 and progressed to become the Human Resource Services Manager from 2007 to 2016. Currently, they hold the position of SimplicityHR Director of Human Resource Services at ALTRES, a position they have held since September 2016. Michele's broad range of experience and their expertise in human resource management, as evidenced by their certifications in MHRM, SPHR, and SHRM-CP, make their a valuable asset in the field.

Michele (Nakata) Kauinui completed their Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a focus on Human Resource Management and International Business, with a minor in Speech, at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Michele attended the university from 1996 to 2000. Later, they pursued a Master of Human Resource Management degree at the University of Hawai'i - Shidler College of Business from 2002 to 2004, specializing in HRM.
