Gio Nicholson

Gio Nicholson is a seasoned cybersecurity professional with extensive experience in incident response and threat management. Currently serving as a Senior Incident Responder at Altria since April 2021, Gio analyzes and triages security alerts across on-premises and Azure environments and contributes as a subject matter expert on various security projects, including the deployment of a new SOAR platform. Prior experience includes a role as a Threat and Incident Response Engineer at IBM from May 2017 to March 2021, where Gio conducted incident investigations and developed mitigation techniques to safeguard against threats. Earlier experience includes serving as a Digital Forensics Consultant at Epiq, performing various forensic acquisitions. Gio holds a Master of Science in Cybersecurity from the University of South Florida and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from the University at Albany.
