Simon Tavernier

Simon Tavernier is a professional with extensive experience in data science and technology roles. Currently a trainee at Alu Van de Putte since November 2023, Simon previously served as Chief Technology Officer at Discai from January 2022 to November 2023, focusing on commercializing AI applications for KBC Group. Prior to that, Simon worked at KBC Bank & Verzekering as a Lead Data Scientist and Data Scientist from September 2017 to March 2022. Simon's career also includes positions such as Business Development Manager at Brenntag and various roles as a Laboratory Assistant and waiter. Academic qualifications include two Master’s Degrees from Ghent University in Statistical Data Analysis and Chemistry, alongside Bachelor's degrees in Chemistry from Pierre and Marie Curie University and Ghent University. Simon's educational background is complemented by a strong foundation in sciences and mathematics from Koninklijk Atheneum Zottegem.
